USE
The  maintenance  of  balcony  constructions  is  one of  the  basic  parts  of  the  panel  houses  revitalization. Repairs are often necessary for family houses and other structures. The scope of damage is particularly great in the case of older buildings and can have a negative infl uence  on  the  static  characteristics  and  the  functionality of the object. The main reason for problems is water penetrating into the construction of the balcony which  causes  the  corrosion  of  insuffi ciently  covered ferroconcrete elements. A signifi cant infl uence is also frost  and  mechanical  damage.  Defects  are  refl ected by  the  open,  in  the  surface  corrosive  reinforcement and  wide  zones  of  damaged  or  missing  concrete in the depth of several tens of millimetres.During the maintenance of balconies the most important is to prevent the penetration of water into the construction. After the repair and completion of damaged or missing parts of the concrete, a special insulation layer  is  applied  to  the  surface  and  the  consequently selected fl oor covering is placed, usually fl ooring. Instead of the fl ooring, a polyethylene waterproof layer can be used which, at the same time, is the contact layer. The surface can be painted with resistant paint. RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE
After  penetration  (varnish  EH)  and  the  application of the adhesive semi-layer (BetaFORM S01) the damaged parts are repaired by means of suitable mortar mixtures    (BetaFORM S05    and    BetaFORM S07). The   restoration   of   waterproof   insulation   follows (BetaFORM H01)  and  the  placement  of  the  fl ooring with the use of adhesive cement (BetaFIX SF).
